Terms of Service
Last updated: July 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between the school or organization using the service (the "Customer", "you", "your") and schoolbot ("schoolbot", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your access to and use of the schoolbot websites and applications, including schoolbot.online and app.schoolbot.online, and the services provided through them (together, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Refund Policy explains our rules on payments and refunds; both form part of these Terms.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Service, you accept these Terms. The person accepting them confirms that they are an authorized representative of the school or organization and have the authority to bind it. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
schoolbot is an AI assistant that answers questions from a school's own uploaded policy documents. Staff and parents receive answers grounded in the school's documents; leadership receives gap detection — questions your policies do not clearly answer are flagged for review.
The Service answers only from the documents your school provides. The quality and completeness of answers depend on the quality and completeness of those documents.
Reporting on how your policies and procedures cover accreditation frameworks is under development and is NOT part of the Service today. It is not included in any plan, no plan is priced on the basis of it, and nothing in these Terms obliges us to release it or commits us to any date. Where our website marks such a feature "Planned", that means it does not exist yet. Please do not subscribe, or renew, in reliance on it.
The Advanced plan is not currently offered for sale. It is described on our website as pre-launch, and it will not be available until the accreditation capability above is released. We are not accepting orders, subscriptions, or payment for it, and any pricing shown for it is indicative of what we expect to charge at launch — it is not an offer, it is not binding on either of us, and it may change. Joining the waitlist places you under no obligation, costs nothing, and does not create a contract or entitle you to the plan. Nothing in these Terms obliges us to release Advanced or commits us to any date.
3. Eligibility and accounts
The Service is provided to schools and organizations, acting through their authorized representatives. It is not offered to individual consumers.
School users sign in with a one-time code sent by email or WhatsApp — there are no passwords for school users to create or remember. Your school's administrator manages who has access to your school's workspace, and your school is responsible for keeping that access list current and for activity that occurs under its accounts. If you believe an account has been accessed without authorization, contact us promptly at alex@abcnd.com.
4. Bring-your-own AI keys
You may connect your school's own AI provider account (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) to the Service. If you do, your school is responsible for complying with that provider's terms and for any usage costs that provider charges you.
AI keys you provide are encrypted at rest and are never written to logs.
5. Plans and fees
A Free plan is available and requires no payment. Paid plans, features, and fees are as agreed at the time of purchase and are billed annually in advance.
Fees are exclusive of taxes; any applicable taxes, duties, or levies are your responsibility. Fees are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy.
6. Customer content
Your school owns its policy documents and other data submitted to the Service ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Customer Content solely as needed to provide the Service to your school.
We never use Customer Content to train AI models.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to upload your Customer Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purpose;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent its security, usage limits, or rate limits;
- resell the Service or provide it to anyone other than your own school community;
- use the public demo for anything other than evaluating the Service;
- interfere with other customers' use of the Service.
8. AI-generated answers — important disclaimer
Answers provided by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence from your school's own documents. They may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Answers are guidance to help your team find and apply your own policies — they are not professional, legal, or regulatory advice.
Your school and its leadership retain final responsibility for all decisions and actions. The Service does not replace your statutory safeguarding and child-protection procedures, and it is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact the emergency services and follow your school's own procedures.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We may add, change, or remove features of the Service over time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
To the same extent, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify schoolbot against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your Customer Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
Either party may terminate at any time: your school by notifying us or ceasing to use the Service, and us by notice to you. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms or to address a security risk.
On termination, your school may request an export of its Customer Content and/or its deletion by contacting alex@abcnd.com. Fees already paid are handled per the Refund Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give notice by posting the updated Terms on this site with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service, and each party consents to their jurisdiction.
